Cars To City Fleet

Cars To City Fleet
Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Tuesday that the city will add 70 new electric vehicles to the city’s fleet and launched a new effort to educate New Yorkers about the benefits of using electric cars.

The city already has the country's largest of municipal clean-air fleet, but now that position has been fortified to a total of 430 electric vehicles.

“This is the latest and largest-ever addition of electric vehicles to the city’s fleet, which is already the largest municipal clean-air vehicle fleet in the nation,” said Bloomberg. “We will continue to lead by example, but we also must provide New Yorkers with tools to make environmentally friendly choices in their own lives.”
